Family Health Insurance

One plan for everyone under your roof, from maternity to grandparents.

Here is the fact that surprises most new arrivals: your employer must insure you, but in Dubai the cover for your spouse, children and sponsored parents is generally your responsibility. Families often discover this at visa renewal time, which is the most expensive moment to discover anything.

Family medical insurance answers it properly: one plan, one renewal date, everyone covered, priced across leading insurers rather than accepted from the first quote. It is usually simpler and often cheaper than a patchwork of separate policies, and it means nobody in the house is on the plan you would not choose twice.

FAQ

1. Does my employer cover my family?

Some employers extend cover to dependants; many do not. In Dubai, sponsors generally carry the responsibility for dependants’ cover. Check your policy before assuming, and if the answer is no, a family plan is worth pricing sooner rather than later.

2. When should we arrange maternity cover?

Before you need it. Most plans apply a waiting period before maternity benefits begin, so cover arranged after a pregnancy is confirmed usually will not pay for it. If a family is in your plans, put maternity in your policy first.

3. Can we add a newborn to the plan?

Yes. Insurers set a window for adding newborns and their terms differ, including how they treat conditions identified at birth. Tell us early and we will handle the addition so there is no gap.
