The main covers, briefly
- Public liability. Injury or property damage to third parties on or around your operations. Often the minimum required to operate in shared spaces.
- Product liability. Claims arising from a defect in something you make, sell or distribute. Liability often lands on the brand even when a component came from elsewhere.
- Directors and officers (D&O). Personal cover for your leadership against claims of negligence, mismanagement or breach of duty. Essential where there are external investors or a board.
- Employer's liability and workers' compensation. Your responsibility when an employee is injured or falls ill through work, including medical costs, lost wages and legal costs, in line with UAE labour law.
- Professional indemnity. For consultants, agencies and advisors. Covers financial loss a client blames on your advice or your work.
- Medical malpractice. For healthcare professionals and institutions, covering claims of negligence or treatment error, including legal defence.
- Commercial general liability. The base layer for everyday premises and operations exposure, with other covers built on top.
- Umbrella and excess layers. Extra headroom above the limits of the policies underneath, for the claim that outgrows them.
